More Cowbell
Pershing Hall
It’s back! If you came to this show in June, you know you want more! If you missed it, here’s your chance to experience a great evening of music, dancing, food, and drinks in the comfort of Pershing Hall. “More Cowbell” takes the iconic Will Ferrell–Christopher Walken SNL moment and asks: what if we just… kept going? And what if everybody danced? A live, purpose-built band. A seasoned improvisation conductor at the helm. A sprawling playlist of songs united by one glorious, clanging thing in common. And a dance floor that doesn’t quit. From funk and soul to rock classics — including that Blue Öyster Cult song — this playlist serves as the jumping-off point: Apple | Spotify . We’ll be remixing and improvising with these cover songs in real time through Soundpainting, a live-composing sign language where nothing is predetermined and nothing repeats. The version you dance to on Saturday will never exist again. Featuring the top-notch talents of Claude McCan, Rey Arteaga, Leila Henley, Andy Nolte, Andrés Acevedo, and Michael Hale, this is a full-body, shimmy-till-your-shoes-give-out kind of night. Even if you stay in your seat, your feet will tap and your head will bob. Come experience cowbell-fueled songs deconstructed and remixed into amazing jams, then hit the dance floor and find your groove. If you’ve ever air-drummed a cowbell solo in your car or simply know in your bones that some songs demand to be danced to, this show was made for you. Come find your people. Bring your fever. Wear comfortable shoes. Enjoy Pershing Hall’s full bar and dinner menu, offering delicious nighttime bites and craft cocktails throughout the evening. All proceeds from the evening support Andrea Ariel Dance Theatre’s 37th season of performances, free community-building workshops, and our ARTSPLUS youth education programs in Austin, TX. Tickets for general admission, reserved tables for two, and reserved VIP couches for four are available. Find out more about Andrea Ariel Dance Theatre HERE https://www.arieldance.org/
